IDT 5200: Evaluation and Assessment Strategy
TNU Course Description:
This course will focus on the effective course/program evaluation and assessment methods, theories, and applications in instructional design and technology.
Instructor: Dr. Doug Renfro
Reflection:
This class examined the use, purpose, and application of assessment and evaluation methods. Assessments are certainly not just quizzes and tests; they come in all “shapes and sizes.” I appreciate the variety of projects we had in this class. All of the technologies we utilized to produce our artifacts were ones I had not used before, except for MS Word. While I have used SoundCloud and Survey Monkey as a consumer, I had not used them as a creator. I really enjoyed this class and have gained a new appreciation for the power of well-constructed assessments and the creativity that can be applied when developing them.
